Value my car1Why buyers choose this model
Audi A3 of the first generation - representative of the Golf class, produced in versions 3 and 5-door hatchback. A four-seat Golf competitor with high build quality was offered at a higher price. The main disadvantages of the A3 are a small trunk and a cramped space for rear passengers. The first generation of the Audi A3 is characterized by a good level of comfort, high reliability and a good level of safety. But during the first years of production, the car periodically appeared in the failure statistics due to various defects and childhood diseases. In the later years of production, reliability has improved significantly and has become consistent with premium standards. The most preferred version with a 1.8T turbo engine, which demonstrates good dynamics at an acceptable level of fuel consumption. The S3 is best for drivers who prefer a sporty driving style, but at the same time it will be expensive. Diesel modifications were presented exclusively Volkswagen 1.9 TDI engine with various power options. Turbodiesel is characterized by low fuel consumption and good traction, but was not very popular. Even the entry-level version of 90 hp is enough for everyday travel.

4Challenges of selling privately
- The history of the first-generation Audi A3: June 1996.
Shows, bargaining and re-registration take time: buyers look, promise to think and disappear. Fair price after inspection closes the auction on the spot. If money is needed urgently, the purchase takes away waiting and repeat displays.
