Audi Q7

Audi Q7 is a full-size crossover, which debuted in September 2005 at the International Motor Show in Frankfurt. The same year, the Audi Q7 went on sale. The assembly of the SUV is carried out at the Volkswagen plant in Bratislava (Slovakia). The Q7 is built on the E platform (PL71), shared with the VW Touareg and Porsche Cayenne. In the spring of 2009, a small restyling was carried out: the front and rear optics received LEDs, chromium accents were added to the body decoration, the front and rear bumpers were slightly adjusted, a new radiator grille was installed, the instrument combination was updated, new leather seats and the third-generation MMI multimedia system appeared.

Engines

The first Q7 was equipped with a 3-liter V6 turbodiesel with a capacity of 233 hp (240 hp since 2007) and a gasoline V8 4. 2 FSI 350 hp. In early 2006, a petrol V6 3.6 FSI 280 hp became available. A year later, the V8 4. 2 TDI turbodiesel with a capacity of 326 hp (340 hp since 2009) was added to the engine line. At the end of 2008, a 12-cylinder diesel monster appeared, developing 500 hp. After restyling in 2009, the European versions of the Q7 with a 3.0 TDI engine (240 hp and 245 hp since April 2011) have become Euro6 compliant, thanks to the clean diesel exhaust gas treatment system with AdBlue nitrogen oxide neutralizer. In 2010, the 3.6 FSI and 4.2 FSI were replaced by the 3.0 3.0 TSFI in 272 and 333 hp. In November 2010, the “economy version” of the 3.0 TDI engine with reduced power to 204 hp appeared, which reduced fuel consumption and the price of the basic version of the Q7. 3. 0 TDI is the most common engine among the operated Audi Q7. The most successful is the BUG modification installed on cars of 2006-2007. The CASA modification, which was used before 2008, was the most problematic. The trouble of this engine is the TNVD, which began to “drive shavings” into the fuel system after 80-120 thousand km. Later, Bosch upgraded its pump, and the manufacturer held a campaign to replace the problematic TNVD with modified ones. But after trouble with the pump and expensive repairs, some owners were forced to return to the service with the same problem after 40-60 thousand km.

Transmission

All engines on the pre-restyling modification were combined with a 6-speed automatic transmission "Aisin", designed to transmit up to 750 Nm of torque. Modifications with the 3.6 FSI engine were equipped with a 6-speed ZF automatic, designed for engines developing up to 400 Nm. Since 2010, all versions of the Audi Q7 have been equipped with an 8-band ZF automatic, with the exception of the V12, which was still equipped with a reinforced 6-speed Aisin.

A common problem is the appearance of tangible tremors during switching after 60-100 thousand km. One of the reasons is the flow of sealing rubber bands on the plug, which leads to the closure of the contacts. The cost of two new electric harnesses is about 14-16 thousand rubles, plus gaskets - about 2-3 thousand rubles and oil - 3-5 thousand rubles. The rear suspension levers are cheaper: the original is about 6 thousand rubles, the analogue is about 2 thousand rubles.

The racks and bushings of transverse stability stabilizers, steering rods and tips serve more than 100-150 thousand km. The same number of bearings of the front hubs – 4-5 thousand rubles for the original.
