Chery Bonus debuted in 2008 and entered the domestic market in 2011. It is based on a thoroughly modernized platform of its predecessor – Amulet. The assembly of the model was carried out on a full cycle in Ukraine, at the Zaporizhzhia Automobile Plant. The Chinese are known as ZAZ Forza. The Bonus is similar to a sedan, but like the Amulet, it is actually an elevatorback. The design was performed by the Italian Torino Design studio. The novelty was shorter than its predecessor, but became higher and wider. The wheelbase has also increased. As a result, the cabin added space for the front and rear passengers. In 2011, a version of the hatchback was offered, which was called Very. Due to the shorter stern, the car lost 13 cm of length. The rest of the dimensions are identical. Basic models were equipped with air conditioning, a central lock and a driver's airbag. Audio system with support for MP3 format, airbag front passenger, heated seats and ABS were available in a more expensive configuration. The top version stood out 15-inch alloy wheels and parktronics.

Engine

Cherie Bonus relied on only one power unit - a four-cylinder gasoline atmospheric volume of 1.5 liters and 109 hp 16-valve engine of the family Acteco SQR477F - a product of joint development of the Chinese and the Austrian company AVL. The engines were assembled on the territory of Ukraine - in Melitopol. The motor has one camshaft and hydraulic valve gap compensators. The gas distribution mechanism is operated by means of a geared belt. The manufacturer orders its renewal every 40,000 km. However, often the belt breaks, and not having lived to the next routine work. In this case, the flexion of the valves is inevitable. The main reason is a large number of fakes and low-quality analogues. They sometimes give up after 10-20 thousand km. With the help of a gear belt, the pump is also activated. It can make noise or flow through 40-60 thousand km. It's not worth it to pull a replacement. Over time, the pump begins to podklint, which leads to a slip of the belt of the timing or even to its break. There are precedents. In the cold season, owners often complain that the engine is difficult to start or stalls during warming up. Transmission
