To cut costs, the new Xedos 6 and 9 models have retained the Mazda logo.

The largest of them - "nine" got not only in Europe, but also in the United States, where it was sold under the name Millenia. While the company estimated that the lack of a separate dealer network would save about $5,000 per car, initial retail prices were too high. Millienia’s Mazda was more expensive than not only American competitors, but also Lexus, which by then had a huge number of loyal customers.
