Mitsubishi ASH is a compact urban crossover built on the shortened platform of Mitsubishi Outlander XL. In Japan, the ASX was launched in February 2010 under the name Mitsubishi RVR. In March 2010, at the Geneva Motor Show, the European version of the compact crossover was presented, and in April - the North American version, under the name Mitsubishi Outlander Sport. ASX sales in Europe began in June 2010. The SUV went through two facelifts - in 2012 and in 2016.

Engines

In the arsenal of Mitsubishi ASH three gasoline engines: a working volume of 1.6 l / 117 hp, 1.8 l / 140 hp and 2.0 l / 150 hp. All power units have a reliable chain drive valve timing. European versions were equipped with a diesel engine - 1.8 l / 150 hp. Some authorized service centers offered a new firmware for the ECU of the engine, but even after the update, the detonation did not always disappear. According to the "officials" - the ASX 2012 model year was changed factory firmware, excluding the occurrence of detonation. But some owners still celebrated its appearance. In severe frosts, below 30 degrees, on crossovers with an engine of 1.6 liters there were cases of oil squeeze through the probe and osteoils due to freezing of the pipe of ventilation of crankcase gases. At the end of 2011, a Mitsubishi technical bulletin was released, prescribing the replacement of the old pipe with a modified one with a large internal cross-sectional diameter.

Transmission

Mitsubishi ASX with a 1.6-liter engine was equipped exclusively with a 5-speed manual transmission. No problem with the box. Several owners took advantage of the warranty because of the whistled squeezing bearing.

In most cases, the clutch tends more than 140-160 thousand km. The cost of the new original set is 20,000 rubles, and replacement work is about 6000 rubles.

The remaining engines were aggregated with a continuously variable variator "JATCO". Most owners are concerned about the reliability of the box and meticulously react to the slightest deviation from the usual norm. But this is normal operation of the variator - the locking of the hydraulic transformer is switched on. No complaints about the appearance of a trolleybus hum were noted.

Walking

With age, there were complaints about the parking brake, the mechanism of which soured. Mitsubishi organized a service action to replace the glands and levers of the mechanism, as well as its lubrication.

Other problems and malfunctions

Painting of the body is not resistant to external influences: chips and scratches soon appear. Occasionally there are complaints of bloating on the surface of side doors and rear arches. After 7-9 years, corrosion foci are found on the trunk lid - in the area of the state room, the opening button and in the corners of the taillights.
