The next third generation (6N) is considered a huge step forward, especially in the area of safety and capacity. Although the Volkswagen Polo is only 372 cm long (just like the Nissan Micra K11 and Opel Corsa B), it is striking in the amount of space in the cabin. In the three-door version, it is quite difficult to get into the second row. But when you get there, you will experience a pleasant surprise, because there is no shortage of free space. The trunk is not that big – only 245 liters. The available space is mostly eaten by wide wheel arches. Plastic bumpers Polo installed rather unusually. The base 1-liter engine has one drawback: it is very weak and consumes fuel even more than the 1.4-liter engine.

Very popular today diesel modifications are better left for those who for some reason want to own a diesel modification. The Volkswagen Polo with SDI engines (1.7 and 1.9) does consume little fuel, but is incredibly noisy and vibrates strongly. After restyling, a three-cylinder 1.4 TDI appeared in the lineup. It is even more economical, but “shakes” much more.
